Next Flame - Friday April 27th 2007
“The Glory which You have given
Me I have given to them, that they may be one,
just as We are one; I in them and You in Me,
that they may be perfected in unity, so that the
world may know that you sent Me, and loved them,
even as You have loved Me” John 17:22-23
It is our vision that we will see
a body of student’s (and all people) fulfil the
commission in their generation, and God’s Spirit
will be poured out on all students (and all
people) that come to South Wales and throughout
every Nation, fulfilling what the Lord has
spoken.
Paul wrote to Timothy:
-
“Do
not neglect the spiritual gift within you…”
1Tim 4:14
-
“For this reason I remind
you to fan into flame the gift of God,
which is in you…” 2 Tim1:6
-
“Guard through the
Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the
treasure which has been entrusted to you.”
2 Tim 1:14
So what is
flame?
Students gathering to praise &
Worship God, and to hear his word
By gathering together and hearing
prophetic teaching from anointed ministries who
have given their lives to build up and equip the
church, we will be stirred to receive a
greater revelation of the gift that is within us.
Therefore, we will hear how we practically
outwork this to encourage and minister to
each other, and to reach the world.
When we gather together, God
is with us and the Holy Spirit imparts what
he wills. We hope that people will respond to
the Word that is preached, and will ask and
receive spiritual gifts to go and bless the
world and Jesus’ church. Visiting ministries
may impart gifts through the laying on of their
hands during these meetings.
A flame of fire is attractive, it
shines light, it draws, it cleanses. There will
be a tangible manifestation of God’s presence
as we meet together, and the Holy Spirit
will pour fuel on the flame, seeing his army
equipped and set on fire to serve his
purposes in this generation. Salvation
should be the manifestation seen among our
peers; repentance and new life to those who are
dead in their sin, healing for those who are
sick.
