2:38 teaching series
In Acts 2:38,
Peter said, "Repent
and be baptised, every one of you, in the
name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of
your sins. And you will receive the gift of
the Holy Spirit.”
Luke records that, “Those
who accepted his message were baptised, and
about three thousand were added to their
number that day.” (v41). That
was very swift adding! We are then told what
they did, “They
devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching
and to the fellowship, to the breaking of
bread and to prayer.” (v42)
It has never been Jesus’ plan for any
Christian to be adrift from his body. Our
2:38
teaching programme is designed to help
Christians from all backgrounds to find the
place where the Holy Spirit is
adding them.
